John is the Managing Director of Treloar Civil & Quarries. Over the past 40 years, the business has evolved from a single truck operation to now employing more than 60 employees. John’s focus is on building long term customer relationships so that repeat business is ensured and is one of the keys to business growth.
Chris Treloar
Operations Manager

Chris has over 15 years’ experience in the civil engineering and construction industry. Chris completed his Engineering Degree in 2011 and spent 8 years in Local Government working on various large projects in engineering and project management roles. Chris has extensive experience in engineering design, stakeholder consultation, project cost control and management. In 2019, Chris joined Treloar Civil & Quarries as Operations Manager with focus on providing support to the Managing Director across all aspects of the business.
Nigel Bedford

Over the last 9 years, Nigel has been the Chartered Professional Civil Engineer in charge of most of Treloar Civil & Quarries’ projects. Nigel represents his profession and Treloar Civil & Quarries with integrity, high level skills and detailed expansive knowledge. The professional experience that Nigel brings to his dealings with clients is well recognised.
Taryn Peck
Finance Manager

With 10 years experience in finance, Taryn understands the business of Treloar Civil & Quarries and provides high level support and advice daily. Over the last few years Taryn has led improvements to information technology across operations including payroll and accounting. The results have modernized and refined the systems with significant improvements to the efficiencies and effectiveness of these critical areas. Taryn is an integral member of the management team having responsibility for all financial aspects of Treloar Civil & Quarries and associated businesses.

Nigel maintains the quality, safety, and environment management systems. Nigel has worked in the QSE area for 18 years and brings a wealth of experience and competence to his dealings with the workforce, his peers across government, community and clients. Nigel offers practical solutions daily to ensure client’s needs are met and exceeded while working safely; caring for the health of employees; and treading lightly in the beautiful Tasmanian environment.
Robyn Conlon
Administration
Robyn provides the management team with considerable administrative support and assistance. Her responsibilities include payroll, training, and general administration. Robyn provides a friendly face at reception when you visit and is always able to assist customers and clients. Robyn has acquired over 14 year’s experience in these areas and has completed her Certificate IV in Leadership & Management.
Lydia Howard
Logistics Manager
Lydia is the Logistics Manager and is responsible for the coordination of the fleet of plant, equipment, and trucks. Additionally, her role includes account receivable, the purchasing and administration associated with maintaining the fleet, supporting the heavy vehicle workshop, and liaising with all levels of management to ensure that the resources are allocated to meet client’s requirements and maximise efficiencies. Lydia has nine year’s experience in similar industries, including the last six with Treloar Civil & Quarries. Lydia is also responsible for ensuring the Chain of Responsibility requirements are met with attention to driver fatigue, and driver workload throughout operations.
Helen Payne
Human Resources Manager

Helen’s experience is wide and varied in both the public and private sectors contributing to her value as a Human Resources Manager. Helen’s main responsibility is to maintain company cultural values of safety, integrity, community. She looks after the recruitment and onboarding of new personnel and the quality assurance of human resources processes. Helen provides advice on Award matters including hours of work, pay, entitlements and allowances and employment contracts, policies, and procedures generally.
